To grind or not to grind...that is the question

Sometimes there is going to be days where you're on a grind. You want to give time and energy to everything that matters to you. Maybe it's your family, maybe it's your job. Maybe it's the guy who's been texting you wanting to hang out. And yet it's impossible to give everything 100% of your time. That's why prioritization is so important.

This morning, I went to the beach in San Pedro with my mom and some relatives. Once I got there, I felt truly relaxed. I originally had no intention of going-- with my one weekday off, I knew it was important to get things done: launching the website, working on a GoFundMe campaign, calling customers for my full time job, the works... But my mom said, "Just stay for a while. When you need to leave, you can go." At her insistence, I agreed. And I'm glad I made the right decision. Now that I'm relaxed, I'm completely focused on my work and feel happier doing it.

Right now is such an exciting time for SheEO. Both Kelly and I have full time jobs outside of our company, have families, hobbies we enjoy, and a long list of things we still want to do (she's still trying to get me to watch a marathon of Game of Thrones with her, which we'll have to put in our calendar soon!) And yet, we enjoy our work. I love being able to come up with new ways to improve our business and make it easier for our believers to enjoy themselves. We are working tirelessly now so we can provide you with the best experience possible. So the grind is important. That is how you become successful in your line of work. But there needs to be a time to relax your mind so you can come back recharged and motivated. We make that time for ourselves and so should you.

Your SheEO,
